Delphine Angua von Uberwald is a Sergeant and chief tracker of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Oh, and a werewolf. but that's what she is, not who she is.

Sometimes, she looks like a well developed young woman with ash-blonde hair. She generally tends to have a somewhat haunted look and a rather disconcerting tendency to stare at someones throat while talking to them. She wears classic high fantasy wacthman's gear: bronze breast plate and helmet, leather skirt (over leggings in the winter), chainmail over a leather undershirt, a red cloak, and a copper badge on a leather thong around her neck. She carries a short sword, which never gets used, and two white paddles for signalling clack towers.

At other times she looks like a high class golden coated dog, possibly in the wolfhound genre. her luxuriant coat is as long as a mane around her ears. She wears the same badge and collar.

Please to be noting:
Angua is neither wolf, nor human. She is a werewolf, at all times in either shape, and a wolf would be able to tell the difference. She is supernatural, primal and dangerous. She's faster and stronger than either human or wolf, and has a phenomenal sense of smell: she'll get your species down by the time she takes a breath in yuor vicinity, and she can detect blood from two hundred yards. When she opens her mouth, there's always the sense of just-a-few-too-many teeth, and when she really smiles, it's terrifying.
Her growl is more than a wolf's growl. Early man heard sounds like that in the depths of cave. Late man, too. Just before he became late. Heard of the primal scream? This is the growl that caused it.
